 Click to view full-size. 1936 Oversized Label #6 Blue Box Transition Board. Parker Brothers originally priced the limited run #5 sets at $2.50. With the advent of the #6 Blue Box set in later 1936, the price was lowered to $2.00. As Parker Brothers still had a surplus of #5 Boards with the $2.50 price they decided to use these boards but put an oversized label on it to hide the $2.50 price label underneath. Not really rare but uncommon. |
